Ten on Tuesday plus pictures!!

I enjoy reading several of my other blogging friend's "Ten on Tuesday" posts so I thought I would try it myself....Here Goes!!


1. Can I complain about the weather? It was 83 degrees today with no breeze making it feel like 93 degrees. Wish we could have cooled off at the beach! (Hello to all my Montana/Wyoming friends who are having 10 below plus 50 mph winds).

2. We have 43 days left until the boys and I head home. I'm not sure if we will be ready or not!

3. Yup, I could be a flickr addict! Check out the picture I posted for my Project 365. Aren't his eyes amazing...just like his Daddy's! For those of you who don't know, you can see some of my pictures by clicking the "Daily Clicks" link to the left. It sure is a fun website (I mean addictive). If you enjoy seeing, taking or sharing pictures, this is the site for you!!

4. Today was mail day. I was hoping for a few more straggling Christmas cards, but we just received one lonely last one. I guess I'll have to wait until next year to receive more - don't you just love getting Christmas cards and pictures?!

5. It's pretty nice to be in a foreign country during this political season - the only politics I am faced with, at least for the next 43 days, is what I CHOOSE to watch on T.V., and the little bumper sticker that is INSIDE our base dumpster. It's peaceful :)

6. The mosquitos have been terrible!! I am very faithful about using Avon's Skin So Soft on everyone...including Eli...but it didn't matter. Aparently a couple must have been stuck in the bathroom he was sleeping in and they had him for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - but only on his head and hands. I think he has about 10 bites - 2 of which are on his eyelids. Poor Duck!!

7. Food for thought, a quote from a book I am reading by Sally Clarkson: "Reaching our children's hearts requires us to be a student of their souls; to learn what appeals to them and understand the things that motivate them in hearts..."

8. I don't have very many blogging friends who share their blog with their husbands - - but if they did, would their husbands harrass them publicly for their "obsession?" (See post on Jan. 23) I call it a hobby and he calls it an obsession - I guess I have taken a couple thousand pictures since I have been here, but why not...great scenery...and a digital camera...and time on my hands.

9. I have a friend with 2 boys. She said with their first son they did everything they could to keep any sort of toy gun out of the house, with their second son they had a "weapons drawer." This is what it is going to be for us. Of course water guns are different...but everything is made into a gun. This morning it was their golf clubs...at dinner it was their potato cakes?? I guess this may be a true example of "boys will be boys."

10. Does everybody love getting comments on their blog as much as I do?? Hint Hint!!
