Baking with Boys!!

There has been a lot of baking happening around here! It certainly never fails that I always have AT LEAST one set of helping hands around! I use the word helping quite loosely. I do believe it is good for boys to learn how to cook and how to behave in the kitchen - so it is important to encourage helping, but that doesn't make it any easier!

Baking with my boys never seems to be quite a sweet and cute as I think it's going to be. In fact the other day while Seth and I were making cookies I heard a very interesting conversation happening between him and the butter...

Seth (mixer in hand): "Butter, you're going down!!"
Butter (innocently sitting in the bowl): No reponse!
Seth: "Butter, you're no match for me!"
Butter: No response!
Seth: "Butter, It's over for you..."

You get the picture!



Eli on the other hand is my taste tester! So next time you come over to my house for some fresh baked bread...just know that Eli has already had his little taste!!

Love Is in the Air!!

Last week, Eli and I tagged along to both Zach and Seth's Valentine's Day parties. E hit the jackpot with treats in two classes, crafts in both classes, and candy in both classes!



Seth is full of energy...ALWAYS! His teacher assures me that this energy is well channeled, and that Seth is a delight...but some days I'm not sure!



This picture is a perfect example of this energy...Seth is proudly displaying his "crazy eyes!"



Concentrating very hard on his Valentine craft...



E was taking cues from big brother. Thanks to one of Seth's classmates being sick, there was enough for him to have a craft as well!



Z's class opened up all of their Valentine's in class...obviously most of the kids were interested in the candy of toy that they received. I think this was the only card Zach actually read!

If only this brotherly love lasted throughout the day!!

In side the house in Bossier...this is the model we will be building!

This is looking into the family room area, and out the back of the house. Ours will likely not have the bookshelves and the fireplace. Unless Vonnie falls in love with them when she comes down in two weeks!


Looking from the family room into the kitchen, "Bar" seating, Nook on the left, door in back leads to laundry room and the garage. Doorway on right leads to the dining room and the "den/study/4th BR".

This is the neighborhood...Yellow portion is lower end. Blue portion (Ours) is mid-level, and Orange is out of our price range! The Red spot is our lot. The yellow Spot is some dear friends who did all of the research for us! Thanks guys! All of the water is stocked with fish for the residents to catch and release! Come on down dad!

In the kitchen Granite and Tile come standard...

Here is our Lot...not much there yet...but it is a "Double Premium". Corner lots are premium because they are big. Other lots are premium because they will not have anyone building behind them! This one has BOTH!

I am still trying to talk Vonnie into adding a "Bonus Room" on to the second floor...it would add about 400 sq ft...and about 1/8th of the price of hte home.

Garden of the Gods...January

It just now dawned on me that never posted any of these pictures from our family hike...as usual it has been a while since I have posted...so enjoy...you may not see more for a while!



Hard to believe we have had such beautiful weather in January!



Brotherly love...at least for a few minutes!!
