T-Ball

It's FINALLY his turn! He has talked and talked about playing T-ball, and the time is finally here...Seth is a very proud Orange and Black Oriole this year. On a team of 10 (give or take a couple)...Seth couldn't be happier.







Took him at least one game to realize he was an Oriole, not and "Oreo!"




This is a Dad who was has kind of been a Stand-In coach...unfortunately he deployed last week...Seth will miss him!




After all of the kids have batted, the last one gets to hit the "home run" and everyone runs the bases. This is the place Seth always wants to be. He gets so excited to say he "hit a home run!"



Not sure what to say about this picture, except...this is Seth. It's hard to sit still, let alone stand still!!

Our Big Baseball Player...

It's been since Alabama that Zach has played ball - thanks to a move in the middle of last years ball season. This year he has graduated from T-ball to Coach Pitch and is LOVING it!




He is still figuring out exactly how to hit...in fact he usually performs much better during his practice or warm up session than he does in the game.



He is really enjoying his new position...he has been playing catcher off and on, and is thrilled to be a part of every play! At first he was a bit gun shy, but now his nerves have worn off and he doesn't seem quite as concerned and is trusting in his gear to keep him safe!




Cheering on his teammates...keeping his gear on until it gets closer for his turn at bat!

It has been a fun season already. I am usually going between fields trying to watch both Seth and Zach...I am a proud mama!! I will be posting pictures of Seth in the very near future!

10 months...

I'm so amazed at how quickly she is growing. She is FULLY mobile...cruising, and even attempting the steps! She is quite a chatterbox (she takes after her brother Zach), she starts babbling the minute her eyes open; Her average good mood only lasts about 15 to 20 minutes. She loves to be held, and hates to be held. She is a champion sleeper (her mom is VERY happy about that). She has a huge appetite and will eat anything...even Lego's! She has a love/hate relationship with her pacifier -is super excited to see it and put it in her mouth, but then immediately yanks it out and throws it on the floor. She is beautiful as you can see. Has eyes like her brother Zach and a personality like Seth! She has her brothers and her Daddy wrapped around her fingers (working on mama too!) She is such a joy - and we are so very thankful for her!!

Our Garden...

What started out as a small science experiment in sprouting a popcorn kernel...turned into this



Then into this...







Then into this...



And finally into this...










We are hoping to harvest Pumpkin, Watermelon, Cucumbers, Peas, Peppers, Tomatoes (yellow and red), a Sunflower, Cilantro, and Basil. The boys have had a great time with the whole process. In fact, I told someone the other day about "my garden," and Zach promptly corrected me and said "Mom, it's OUR garden!"

Water Molecules...

I'm not a science expert, but I am quite sure this is EXACTLY what H20 looks like...









The best part about this science demonstration happened when Justin came home from work. The boys asked him if he was thirsty. After he said yes, they brought him a glass and a pitcher full of grape/marshmellow "water molecules!"

Hoppy!!

Last week, we woke up to this little guy on our front door. His ribbit could be heart throughout the house...and the boys were mesmerized by him!





After watching him for about 30 minutes we decided to try to capture him...I was a bit leery, but it was a smooth capture...Hoppy didn't try anything funny, he surrendered quite easily!



We then proceeded to head to the pet store for crickets and a small container. Hoppy seemed to adjust well to his new environment...and had no problem snatching up his prey in front of us!





We kept him for about a week. His container was placed outside for most nights due to his incessant ribitting...but after we ran out of crickets, and the boys lost interest, we decided to free the little guy into the garden!

I'm sure Hoppy won't be the first animal to grace our home...I might have to draw the line at snakes, spiders, and dead animals (Zach has asked to keep a dead rat before!)
