Spring has arrived...

Robins...sunshine...snow showers with thunder...Spring is here! We are so excited about it. Already in the past week we have logged many hours of playing outside. I think Justin and I forgot how nice it was to send the kiddos into the backyard to play! That doesn't mean it hasn't been cold. We had a day of snow last week and are due for some more this week...but the 50-60 degree breaks in the middle have been a blessing for these three boys and for their very tired Mama!

A couple of weeks ago we took advantage of the weather and headed out to our favorite park. I am sure I have posted about this park many times in the past, but each time we LOVE it, and this time was no exception!

The boys had a blast...and prayed again that night before bed that we would see "more signs of Spring..."

Pictures

This past week I had the opportunity to take some photos for a friend of mine whose husband is deployed yesterday for a year! Because of my lack of indoor camera equipment, this is the first time I have taken pictures of someone else since last November. I was worried that my nerves in addition to lack of time would make for a good combination, but got some great shots anyways! Justin and I are so honored to know this family...click the link below to check out the pictures!

Just for Fun Photography

Enjoy!!

Mom's Birthday!

More than a week has passed since my birthday and I realized that I never paid tribute to my husband and my 3 sweeties for the sweet birthday that I had! Justin was actually gone on my birthday; however he and the boys made up for it the next day, baking me a beautiful cake!

Photobucket

Pre-egg tasting (for all of those concerned about Salmonella)! Chocolate is my favorite cake...this one was set to be "marble."

Enthusiastically helping. Zach was the one that one day prior to the big day said emphatically..."Oh Great! Now we have to make you a cake!" As if it was a huge burden to him!

Carefully placing some of the sprinkles on top of the pink icing! Since I am the only girl around here I am destined for pink everything!!

More sprinkles!

The finished product! My friend whose daughter and I share the same birthday would be proud of this piece of art!

What Mom wouldn't be blessed by this!!

Art Festival Entry...

Our little budding artist decided to enter a drawing into his school's Annual Fine Art's Festival.

This is his portrayal of a "space ship taking off over some trees." As you can see he is pretty excited about it!

Swim Lessons...again!

I'm sure over the next few years I will have several posts titled "swim lessons." Zach and Seth haven't had swim lessons for a few months, so we decided to give it another go. This time around we are at a local hotel. With the exception of being chilly, the boys have no complaints!

Waiting...waiting...waiting...

"I'm ready!"

This is as close as Eli's goggles got to the water. He wants to swim so badly. On the first day he wore his goggles and life jacket for almost 3 hours after I said the word "swimming." Sometimes it just stinks to be the little guy!

Seth is currently in the 3-5 year old class, but she is moving him up to Zach's class so he can work on his skills! He is our little fish and doesn't want to be held back by the little kids!

Coming up for some air! This is really the best Zach has done. He typically is too cold and crying after just 15 minutes. So far he has completely the full 30 minutes each lesson! I think I only heard him ask his teacher about 6 or 7 times today "How much longer?"
