We Made It!!

What a trip....5 plane rides...1 taxi...2 buses...and we're are finally here after travelling for the past 19 days! The boys have done extremely well. Yesterday was the best part. The plane we arrived on was a huge jet, only holding 32 passengers, but a lot of cargo. It flies out of Patrick AFB on to Antigua and then after a 1 hour lay over on to Ascension. The Antigua Station Manager, and the Station nurse were on the flight with us. Everybody was very excited to have us on board, and even more excited to be there when we saw Justin. When we arrived at the airport the flight attendant had the boys and I get off the plane first. The door opened and there was Justin standing right outside of the door. What a sweet reunion. Our vehicle was parked right at the botton of the steps. He zoomed us off, gave us a 5 minute tour of a couple of beaches...and then back to the base. 30 minutes later our luggage was delivered to our room. The people here on base couldn't say enough about Justin - it is very obvious that they respect him and that he has boosted the morale here.

We have already had 2 meals in the dining hall - the food was excellent. The man in charge of the TV channels hooked the base up with the Disney channel too... Justin has to work for a couple of hours today and then we are off to tour the island...we can't wait. Between Justin and I, we will probably try to blog almost every day...so be sure to stop by....
