Zach building his umpteenth, "Sand Man Jail" on Antigua...he was having a ball. He is not going to want to leave when the time comes.
Zach watching the waves...the moon was coming up over the ridge, and for the rest of the evening the boys wanted to run to the end of the beach and "hunt" for the moon...with the help of Paul's "torch" (flashlight) we made several laps up and down the beach!
While this looks similiar to a sun rising over the trees, it was actually a full moon peaking up over the top of the trees...
Vonnie and Eli are both beautiful by themselves, but I think that the two of them combined with beautiful beach and the beginning of an island sunset is pretty cool. Who would have thought, 6 months ago when the folks from the Personnel Center in Texas called to offer me a job while my wife was 7+ months pregnant, that we would have been spending Thanksgiving 3000+ miles from any immediate family. It has truly been a blessing from God. We will truly enjoy the next 4 months, and may end up sending Vonnie and the boys back later than originally planned if we can rent/sell our house from here! Who knows...
Eli got to meet 6 new adults and 3 new kids tonight at his first (definitely not last) beach barbeque tonight. While his outfit was pushing for Crab and fish on the barbie, the only sea life was some shrimp. And all this poor guy got to eat was MILK! What a rip-off...i guess we will owe him a trip to the islands after he is old enough to play in the sand with his brothers!!!
Vonnie's two biggest kids...We are actually starting to get used to packing for the beach. The boys know all that matters is that we have a couple of chairs, and the buckets and shovels! I guess that is all that really matters. Tonight Zach got to go and look for wood to build a fire with! However without exception, every piece of wood that Zach carried back went into the ocean. I guess that is sort of like all of the anchovies, rocks, sticks, etc... that got thrown into your best fishing holes eh dad! :) Love to you all from the islands...stay warm! WE ARE!
