Half Moon Bay -- Antigua!

So we headed out on a journey across the island this morning to get our christmas picture taken. Those pictures won't make the blog, as we don't want you to be disappointed when/if you receive out letter in the mail. The if is not because you might not have made the list, but because we might not have gotten our act together enough to send one out...either way, you won't see that picture today, so if that is why you are here, you can close this window and go and see if your team is winning their football game today!

So we are looking to have this little piece of local art filmed for a cingular cell phone commercial. The folks who ended up making the piece didn't realize they needed to put a fifth bar out there to be "made for TV!" Either way, we really liked this sculpture with the beatiful water and the greenery behind...WOW!

This photo and the next are the tale of two Seth's. He is always excited to go to the beach, but as soon as you open the car door, he is ready to go "home!" poor little guy is not a big fan of the waves at the beach. It wouldn't matter if they were only able to break over his little toe. He will get used to it, even if it takes a trip to the beach every day, and forcing him to "enjoy" it!

This picture was taken almost exactly 30 seconds later! He went from crying and fussing, to singing about the beauties of the world! It is good thing we have God on our side, because we would never be able to figure out these little gifts from Him. Of course it might have had something to do with the crackers that mom got for him. When you give Seth food, you have made a friend forever and possibly made him feel much better about life in general.

What are you doing with that camera mommy? It looks like you pushed the wrong button or something. Mommy ordered a couple of books about her camera from the Internet and has been experimenting on us...that is the only reason I let her take this picture. If I thought it would have come out, I would have been turning away or covering my face...oh well, everyone gets lucky once in a while!

Zach decided that this piece of art was a great place to climb and take a look at the waves and the passing sailboat! It turns out he was right. This is a great picture and Vonnie was there to capture it perfectly...pretty neat!

So Vonnie was helping the boys build either a castle or a "sand man jail", depending on whether Seth or Zach was the architect. In either case, it was just amazing to see the wave rush up under them and have Seth more worried about saving the bucket from washing away than about running from the minimal water that was chasing him!

If you plant them, they will grow....here is our "Mulkey" garden! The planting came to an abrupt halt after about 15 minutes when the water came up around them. Seth was no longer a willing participant after that!
