Free Kids' Workshops!

Lowe's and Home Depot have apparently been offering free kids' workshops for quite some time, but we have just heard about it! A month ago I signed the boys up for Saturday's workshop at Lowe's. When the weekend rolled around and Justin was going to be gone I realized that I really wasn't up for taking all three kids to a workshop that I didn't know anything about. Eli can be quite a wild card in those kind of places. I called to cancel and was told very cordially that we would be missed and that I was welcome to come by and pick up the project so that we could do it at home. Unfortunately she wouldn't be able to give me the certificate, the Lowe's apron, or the goggles since we weren't actually attending; but she would give me the Velcro completion patch.

This is what we came home with...even Eli scored one! The project was fairly simple, I had to help the boys with the nails, but they did the rest themselves! The played with them the entire afternoon. Even if they never touch them again, it was well worth it! We will certainly be heading back to Lowe's to do this again! Great fun without a great price!

Check it out here!!

Looks like some fun opportunities for the boys where you are and with them being older they can do some new activities. I think with the cotton along with being hard on backs the cotton had sharp places that cut up hands pretty badly when picking lots of it. Looks like the boys are enjoying the new activities.
