All of Vonnie's Boys taking cover from the BIG ONE! This is Devil's Bridge...we couldn't actually get out on the bridge as the waves were bigger than I have seen them in 5+ months here...plus Vonnie would have never forgiven me if I let one of the boys get washed away by the rogue wave...
Zach and Seth admiring the waves...as we continue to never figure Seth out, he runs from an inch tall wave, but sits and laughs at these that are breaking higher than his head...who knows with these young brains...how they work, we will never know! You can tell how tall the first one is, based on the 6 foot tall person who is about 1/3 as tall as the wave...AWESOME!
Eli even getting in on the wave watching...this was right after we had to run back to the van out of the rain...The wind has really started to kick up and is causing some pretty big waves. We talked to a guard at one of the resorts tonight and she said, this is how it will be most of the winter, until about February!! GREAT...that is when Vonnie and the boys leave...
Seth in the middle of running away...we were hollering for him to stop...this is all we got. Vonnie accidentally caught the "tour bus" in the background. A flatbed style truck with sides and wooden bench seats across it...you will see over 20 folks on the back of these at times, and not going any slower than if they were in a little sedan...SCARY!!
