Fishing...

It's not quite fishing season, but these boys are practicing, so that "when it gets warm outside, Daddy will let us fish for real."

Grandpa Sel bought these Spiderman fishing poles for the boys last summer. They have added so much fun an excitement to their lives. They have a goal in mind...fishing for real someday...so they are practicing. I think this practicing might be a touch more fun than fishing for real, because each time they cast, they come back with a fish...it might be red, but it's a fish! It was a chilly breezy day, but the boys didn't mind sitting out and patiently waiting for this red fish (permanently attached to the line) to bite!! Zach was getting quite talented at casting...over the fence, over the swing set, and over the house!! Grandpa would be proud!

Seth let Eli take a turn with his pole. Eli was like a cat chasing it's tail. He wanted to catch that red fish with his hands, but ever time he turned to grab it the fish moved away. For about 5 minutes he went around a circle, then finally gave up!!

I have one of those Spiderman fishing poles at my house too. It is very dangerous! It is amazing how a 2 year old can figure out how to cast that red plastic fish so far and hit the most breakable objects.
