A Day at the Beach...

As far as beaches go, we have seen some of the best of them. It takes a great beach to beat our memories of Antigua's 365 beaches. All that said, we have found a very fun "beach" right here in the middle of Alabama! The water's cold, it's not an ocean, but it's got sand, and what more does a boy need than some water and some sand!

Sand between your toes feels soooo good!

Team work around here doesn't happen much...this little project they had going required absolute teamwork and dedication!!

Daddy had to get involved as well. The goal was to pour water from one buck to another, then onto the sand castle which would subsequently flood the area and hopefully the ultimate goal would happen...the water would run like a "river" back down to the "ocean." This did happen after about 20 tries and after both Mom and Dad joined the team!

Eli would have loved Antigua, if he had been a bit bigger...he had a ball in the sand - his favorite part was eating the sand!!

The water was freezing, but he still enjoyed dipping his feet in!

Lunch time!! All that work and play makes for big appetites!!

If I'm reading that water properly, there may be some "lunker fish" lurking in that deep, green water!! NV Grandpa

Looks like a fun day in the sand. Hope you are able to get it out of all the places it ends up. Eli would really have liked the warm water and that warm sand. NV Grandma
