It's just the beginning. A the beginning to a life time of sporting events with our beautiful boys! Tonight was Zach's first T-ball game. There were no nerves, just excitement...and my favorite quote "Mom, you are going to be so surprised at how good I play."

Zach posing for a quick picture before the game starts! He is a proud "Dolphin!"

Coach Mulkey giving his team a pregame pep talk. Because of weather, they had only had one practice prior to this game. The most important advice of the night "Keep your eyes the ball, so you don't get hit!"
Strike one...what a fast ball!! He just glared at the ball and swung hard. I wonder what or who he was thinking about. It was a blessing he had his helmet on because the bat came around and hit him in the head. Coach Mulkey quickly made it a teaching moment and told the team "That is why we wear helmets."

Zach is quite the runner. He made it home! In practice he couldn't figure out the bases and just kept running from first base and followed the foul line, so we were proud that when it counted he came through for the team!

Watching his teammates bat.

There were no winners or losers in this game, but teaching sportsmanship is so important!

Thanks guys so much for the great visit. It was so nice to be able to be with you as we got those first few days under our belt. We miss you all already and can't wait to see you soon.
Hey Justin - You're not scolding those poor little guys in that photo are you? They're just beginner T-ballers!!! :) I'm sure you're a good coach and they all like learning from you. Just had to bust your chops a bit. Bet there wasn't any ball games this weekend - a bit too much snow for that!
