First Days of School

It's hard to believe summer is over already. When I ask myself where the Summer went, I realize that this family has been through and done a lot this summer! The boys weren't all to sure about starting school...

Z had a really rough first few days. The school was stricter than we had anticipated, and his teacher wasn't quite as sweet as his K teacher last year. We (he and I) shed lots of tears each day. Him, as I physically pushed him into his classroom; and me as I climbed into my car to pull away. He is doing better, actually walking into school by himself and not crying (which he prayed and thanked God for last night); but these past few days have caused Justin and I to do quite a lot of soul searching and thinking about what we want school to look like and be for our children...?

S on the other hand started school today and didn't seem to be nervous or excited. He walked in and said "See ya Mom." He was VERY excited to see Zach during the day...I didn't have the heart to tell him that he probably wouldn't see him and if he did see him he wouldn't really be allowed to chat with him. We'll see how it goes for them.

E isn't sure what to think at this point. He is certainly feeling a touch lost with both of his playmates gone!

I got your email Vonnie about Z's first few days and it just broke my heart. Molly was so sad that he was sad and just couldn't understand it. We've been praying for him every night and that things would soon seem easier and the transition less painful for both of you. Hands folded and fingers crossed! Hang in there!

I'm sure it will get better for z when he gets used to it. They look cute in their uniforms. Hang in there. NV Grandma
