Uncle Trevor (Part 3) Sailing Day!!

If any of you are avid sailors (Trevor) you will know that our day wasn't really sailing...it was just an outing on a sailboat!! Our friends, Tim and Jo, took us out on their sailboat for a good part of the day...it was quite a treat!!

Eli...just hangin' out in the cooler! We only have a swing here for him and he is chomping at the bit to sit up. The cooler was a pretty great place for him!

Jo loves to fish - aparently she never catches anything, but she still faithfully puts out her line each time they go out to sea. She let the boys help out a little bit. The only fish they pulled back in was the rubbery fish she was using as bait!

Uncle Trevor wasn't sure how Eli would do on the boat, but thankfully the ride was smooth, the wind was calm and Eli had both Justin and Trevor to hang on to him. He did great and even took a long morning nap in the state room below deck!

Both of the older boys tested out the water. They loved swimming around the boat. This brought back some good old memories for me - when we used to boat in Montana and swim in the middle of the lake -

Tim showing Zach how to drive the boat...

Zach learned the art pretty quickly and was aparently doing well - everyone here looks pretty relaxed with the little guy being Captain. Oh Wait...this might have been when the boat was anchored up and the wheel locked :)

Enjoying the ride...

A proud Sailor!!

The very next day Tim and Jo found out there son (AF Captain) was hit by and IED in Iraq. As the news came in and lots of prayers were lifted up they found out that Tim Jr. and his entire unit was mildly banged up and in good spirits with no critical injuries.

Iraq seems so far away, even when I have friends who are serving on the front lines with the Army and along side the Iraqi forces...please remember to keep lifting up our soldiers in your prayers --- whether you agree with the war or not!

Looks like a great day. Eli in the cooler was great. You will have all your great pictures to remember these wonderful days when you all get back to the states. NV Mom
